Reference
Services - Library staff will help you find information,
from researching a homework assignment to starting your own
business. The Information Desk is located in the Adult Department
on the library's upper level. The Reference staff can be reached
by phone (422-5136), fax (423-2665) or TDD (422-5138). Ask
McMillan is the Library's E-mail reference service.
LINKCat - The library's on-line catalog is
shared with 38 other libraries in the South Central Library
System. Over two million items are listed in LINKCat. Patrons can access Internet Catalog
(IPac) at http://linkcat.scls.lib.wi.us/catalog/launcher.cgi.
Internet - Internet access is available in
the Adult and Children's departments and in the Lower Lobby, at a total of 13
stations. The library also provides
limited access to the Internet at every catalog computer.
Reserves - If an item is in our catalog but not
on our shelves, you can reserve it, even if it is at another
library. The Library will notify you when it is available.
Interlibrary Loans - If what you want is not in
LINKCat, we can usually obtain it from another library. Ask for
help at the Adult Information Desk.
Books - The Library maintains a broad collection
of popular fiction and non-fiction. We welcome recommendations
for purchase.
Photocopier - Copies cost 10¢ per page.
Computers and Typewriters - Eight word processing computers and
a typewriter are available without charge. Printing from the
computers costs 10¢ per page. Call or visit to reserve computer
use time.
Service to the Homebound - If you can't get to
the Library, the Library will come to you. For more information,
ask at the Adult Information Desk.
Tours - The Library regularly conducts tours of
the library for schools and other organizations. Call to set up a
time.
