Mary Dougherty will talk about her new book Life in a Northern Town. In 2007, Dougherty moved to Bayfield, Wisconsin where she opened Good Thyme Restaurant, centered on local ingredients. In addition to food, she is also deeply concerned with the importance of fresh water. Dougherty “explores what it means to nourish a family and a community” in this book that combines recipes, stories and photos.
