Where:
McMillan Memorial Library

Join McMillan and the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America in a brief opening reception, including a flag ceremony followed by light refreshments. The exhibit will be on display in the Lower Lobby from September 16 through November 13.

Wisconsin Public Radio, Wisconsin Public Television, and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum are proud to introduce Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name as part of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum’s Traveling Exhibit Program.  The traveling exhibit features a photo for each of the 1,161 Wisconsinites officially listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The exhibit also includes additional photos for names that are listed on The Highground Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Neillsville, WI.  Wisconsin Remembers is a tribute to lost life and lost potential.

South Wood County faces include Gary L. Folz (Assumption Class of 1967), Phillip H. Clark (Wisconsin Rapids), John A. Luke (Wisconsin Rapids), Jerry A Ashburn (Port Edwards Class of 1965), Larry E. Thomas (Pittsville, Class of 1966), Kenneth G. Goodness (Nekoosa Class of 1968) and Ronald J. Hagen (Nekoosa). There are nine faces from the Marshfield area.

The exhibit is supported by two programs on Veterans Day, November 11.  At 1:30, McMillan will show the first two episodes of the WPT special Wisconsin Vietnam War Stories. Telling emotional stories that haven't been heard before, Wisconsin Vietnam War veterans recount their experiences in a three episode television documentary. Part two of the program follows at 7:00 pm and will include Episode 3 and a panel from the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America
