The Monteverdi Chorale performs great choral music in a wide variety of styles, and shares that music with the Central Wisconsin community. The Chorale is based in Stevens Point Wisconsin, with singers coming from across the Central Wisconsin region, including Portage, Marathon, Waupaca, Waushara, and Wood counties.  Monteverdi is concluding their current season with a celebration of English poetry. These choral settings by some of history’s most influential composers span from the Renaissance to present day.

Join the McMillan Library for a presentation by Arthur Rathburn on his new book To a Better Place.

To a Better Place is a meticulously researched novel that traces the life of John Rathbone, who, after arriving in Massachusetts in 1654 and encountering religious and political prejudices, settles on Block Island near Rhode Island. The story, deeply rooted in early American history, brings to life the experiences of the Rathbone family and their interactions with real colonials who shaped their journey in the New World.
