DADDIO is a contemporary improvisational group, comprised of some of the most experienced players in Wisconsin. Their musical offerings vary from fresh takes on other's work (Sting, John Scofield, The Yellowjackets, Steely Dan) to original material in a wide range of grooves and styles, but with the underlying bedrock of group improvisation and interplay. Once the framework is in place they can "rebuild" the tune freshly every performance.  It is in that spontaneity that the band finds much joy. That is why seeing DADDIO is always a new experience.

DADDIO is: Tom Washatka (Sax, EWI): Winner of the 2023 WAMI award for Best Saxophone player, Tom is an overnight sensation 45 years in the making. His work with John Harmon, Janet Planet etc has cemented him as one of the best loved and most respected players in NE WI. Tony Wagner (Drums Percussion): Tony has won a number of WAMI awards, both individually and with "Street Life", a group that was the house band for the Milwaukee Bucks for many years. He continues to play with a variety of groups, encompassing many styles. But the one thing that remains constant is The Groove. Scott Dercks (Guitar, Guitar Synth): Scott has won accolades both in WI and MN, where he played for 20 years. His breadth of knowledge of guitar styles is extensive, and he is often seen with groups playing a wide range of genres, or even as a solo guitarist. Charlie Sauter: (Bass) Another person with extensive Twin Cities playing experience. He played with many well know groups there. Whether you like a rock solid foundation, or an impressive soloist, Charlie is The Man.
