The weather is getting warmer and summer will be here soon! With summer comes McMillan Library's great summer programs. Children and adults can join our "All Together Now" programs while teens can get ready to take the "Read Around the World" challenge. The reading portion of our programs will run from June 5 to August 6 with various activities and programs taking place from June through August. This year we are cooperating with the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools as well as the Mead and Sandhill Wildlife Areas. Get ready to have fun with us!
We've extended the deadline for entries to our next photography exhibit until May 15. The theme for this show is "I love books!" so send us photos related to books and reading. Take a selfie with your favorite librarian or bookseller (ask permission first, of course). Photograph a still life of your favorite titles.
Partnering with Parks & Rec we are offering teens a chance to learn and play 3 different sports. Try Pickleball, Soccer and/or Basketball with a helpful instructor as you learn the basics and have a chance to play a game.
